COOL YOOL ’10 - THE NOUGHTIES! – is the name of our Christmas Show and will feature the best music of the last ten years – apart from the Christmassy songs at the end! We now begin rehearsing in earnest, throughout the second half of term. The Show will be at The Hub in Haywards Heath over three nights, the first night (Thursday) being a ‘behind closed doors’ run-through involving the Friday night performers. It is also our intention to invite a few of our drum beginners (currently in tuition) and vocal coaching beginners to take part in a grand Finale. Those invited will also be required to attend this first ‘dry run’ of the Show. So much work goes into trying to make this a great experience for everyone, so please note – if you agree to perform, you are absolutely expected to attend all rehearsals and performances, except in the case of serious illness. We will keep you all informed of your exact involvement, but for now please keep these dates free:

Prices for tuition next term, whilst remaining at the same rate, will be slightly lower with it being a 12 week Term. Regrettably however, and unavoidably, we will have to charge VAT for the first time. We hope you understand.

On the 16th of October our Rok Skool Band Room became a venue for the first time, as we staged a Charity event with 20 of Pat’s singers to raise money towards an orphanage in Haiti. David Dixon from Direction For Life (a local charity) gave a talk explaining their voluntary work over there. There was fantastic singing, food & wine and £500 was raised – a sum that can go a long way in a ravaged third world country like Haiti. Thanks and congratulations to all involved.
